In the “Accessories” section of my start menu is a program called “Dasher.” Having never heard of it before I decided to click on it to see what it does. Dasher happens to be a way to type without using a keyboard; and no, it’s not a digital keyboard.
I’m not going to explain it, because I’ll just flounder trying to do so. So instead, check out this video:
As an example, here’s what I wrote:
“Kane ran to get the water pail. Once he found the pail he went to the well. That is were he found his watch. In the well there was a small woodland creature named Vinny. Now Vinny liked to go fishing in wells because he was guaranteed not to catch anything. This worked well for Vinny since he was pretty lazy.”
Whoever came up with this is a genius. I’m guessing it’s main usage is for the handicapped, and I can’t imagine ever really using this for anything. Though it would be interesting to see how well it compares to the digital keyboard on today’s modern phones. Apparently, I’m not the first person to think of this…
